If anyone could answer me that would be great. As a recent graduate of the AI of Pittsburgh online what is going to happen to the EDMC and the schools under them? The degree I went for is not worth the paper it was written on so where does that leave me and others? Are they going to have to close the schools and sell them because of the 400 million dollar debt? As far as I can tell they are not making money in fact they are losing it, they are losing students, and the can't recruit new ones so whats going to happen along with when is it going to happen?

CK...you still here? Why don't you find a new hobby from that dark basement of yours.
In reality..the paper any degree is printed on is worthless. The individual has to show their worth and what they learned. Fortunately, you have a degree that will show you had the fortitude to get through a college. You will have a degree listed on a resume that culls you from the pack that does not. The "diploma" does not prove your worth...you must prove your worth...
15 of the rumored 18 will close. Announcement soon
All I want to know is if the Art Institutes are going to be closed?
To clarify EDMC is not going under; they're going through a transformation. Basically a reduction in size because of lower enrollment and other outside business factors law suits, operating costs among other influences.
As for the rumors of certain Ai campuses closing, why is HR and IT going though employees computers trying to determine who posted the list. If the list was not a concern they would simply ignore the posting. Surprisingly they're not so there must be some validity to this list.
I think all schools will be closed, not sure when though. The company is in a meltdown mode, the only way out is finding a buyer which is very unlikely now.
Here is the link to Twitter school closing leak: https://twitter.com/eastmantweets/status/581499990062829568
I've seen some rumored lists that only a certain number of AI schools will be closed is that true too or would they all go?
@Anonymous96766, according to Chris Hardman, EDMC spokesperson, any teach out lists are "rumor" and "speculation." In other words, students (and teachers) will be the last to know. The same thing happned to students at Heald, Wyotech, and Everest (Corinthian Colleges). The same thing will also happen at ITT Tech. At least Devry had the dignity to list the schools they planned on closing.
