All associates at the stores and the home office should should request a copy of their employee file directly from Human Resources at Westmont. Please review your file carefully. 1. In particular you should look for any false or derogatory reports and complaints. You may be blindsided and appalled by your boss(s) or co-workers untrue and harmful commentary retained in your file that has been unknown to you previously. You could have responded appropriately if HR followed up with you on a timely basis. 2. You should consider if your file is missing information that reflected positively on you. Annual reviews, awards for excellence, letters from customers, campus contacts, vendors, associates etc. acknowledging your above and beyond service. Many times managers will intentionally ignore or understate your accomplishments to take the credit for themself or their close buddies.

This is a bit of goodness. Thank you. You're right on all accounts.
Good stuff! I would like to add, should you need to file a claim due to acts of discrimination, submit ALL evidence upfront. The investigation process will work better in your favor if you can back up your claim with actual evidence. Otherwise, you risk having a claim dismissed on the premises of no reasonable cause. The great news is if you should proceed with a lawsuit, you can always submit any evidence you neglected to submit when filing. Keep all emails, IMs and document EVERYTHING!
This is a great idea. Do it now before you actually need it.
