If the new leader of the company is so great, smart, dynamic and successful... then why the heck did he leave ACE (or was he strongly asked to "retire" like MLS???)... It seems kind of strange to me for a person at his to have a steady income, perks and seniority to all of a sudden wanting to rock the boat.

Ace is a retailer along the lines of office max, sears and kmart. Hardly a copy that is in its prime. It never recovered from missteps, just like Follett never will either. Of course he was asked to leave Ace. It is public knowledge.
