Hello Faculty,
As you may or may not be aware Corinthian College filed bankruptcy on Monday. Due to the filing, any checks (including payroll) that were cut and not cashed prior to 5/4/2015 are no longer valid and will not be honored by your bank. On Tuesday, Corinthian attended a hearing with the bankruptcy court and the court approved payment of any payroll discrepancies and payroll checks that had been cut and not cashed.
Because of the issues that payroll had last week with getting adjunct pay processed, I understand that many of you may not have even received your check by the 5/4/2015 date. I know this process has been lengthy, but we have been assured that your final pay check is coming. Unfortunately, they have not yet provided a date that these checks will be cut. My understanding is that any employee who is due pay will be receiving a check directly from the bankruptcy trustee.
Our Heald email is scheduled to be disconnected this weekend, so after Friday I will no longer have access to my Heald email account. Should I receive any updates on the status of the final checks prior to Friday, I will be sure to send the information to you all.
If you need to follow up on the status of your check after Friday, May 8th you can contact the payroll department directly by emailing timeandlabor@cci.edu. When emailing them please be sure to provide your name, division that you worked for (Heald College), employee ID number and your current mailing address.
My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you,
