Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Out of work too long. Unless you're a Linux programmer and have a list of IT certifications, keep doing your best L3 work and stay low.

i am a vet - that is why I said it...you chumps that think that taking the easy way out because it was the only option crack me up. You make as much sense as the do you know who I am guy - why should anyone have any morsel of elevated respect for someone because they were in the military - not like you were kidnapped and air dropped in afhanistan, it is voluntary, just like flipping a burger.

@cookie: if you really need certs. and Linux for the jobs you are looking at; suggestion: learn Linux and get the certs. quit wasting your time trolling this site like a creepy ex-boyfriend waiting outside his ex's frontdoor. @annon: military bashing, really? keep hiding behind that screen, because you wouldn't say that crap to a vets face (or to the family of one that gave all) there IS a 1% club in this country, it is the 1% who serve.

and to those, like myself, that come to this site for honest information: my apologies that I just added to noise floor.

here's some algebra for you:

2x + semper fi = absolutely no technical expertise whatsoever

and who the f is a linux programmer, I haven't seen anyone looking to recompile the distro with their own tweaks pretty much ever, but then again, I don't have any certifications...which could also explain my lack of respect for a military force that will accept anyone with a pulse who isn't color blind and is willing to be yelled at under the auspices of discipline.

Good advice for all everywhere. Always best to do your L3 best when still cashing their checks. Very hard for some of us to stay or lay low when our very nature is governed more by the forces of thrust and lift than gravity and drag! Trying to throttle back....Semper Fi.
