Is there a specific attorney I can contact about this?

The whole point of Zenith was to spread out the closure and keep the gravy train of student raping federal dollars rolling in.
Just send back the claim form if monies are owed to you. You dont have to seek legal advice, but if its your money, go after it. It wont hurt to try. You'll be more mad if you found out funds were ever disbursed and you never dropped a paper in the mail. You never know what could happen.
Just fill out and return the Proof of Claim that was sent out to all potential creditors (including present and former employees) last week. Sheesh. Is it really that hard to read instructions?
Being a Zenith employee is not the "reward" we were expecting at the end of the rainbow. Zenith will be laying off lots of employess by the beginning of next year. Forget your $800 and put your effort and finances into finding a new job.
Now that CCI is in bankruptcy you are going to have to file motions to be one of the creditors. You do not need an attorney to file a motion to be recognized as one of the creditors. This is the reason that most of us got copies of the bankruptcy filings. I'm sure there are good attorneys that will take you on, but they are going to work either on a flat fee or hourly basis. However, with or without an attorney you are not going to get any money (or very, very little). This is just the reality of the situation.
This attorney Saul Goodman is pretty good. He helped my friends Jesse and Walt and they got a good resolution of the situation.

Consider yourself lucky. Some of us are owed a lot more than 800 bucks.
Education is expensive.
lol... CCi is millions in debt, bankrupt, out of business, and may still find face civil or criminal litigation from a number of regulators/gov't agencies (not to mention hiring an attorney will cost in the thousands- more than what you claim CCi owes you).
I know that must suck for you, but face it: you're wanting to get water from a well as dry as the Sahara Desert. You're not getting that money- ever.
