This is from a previous posting and it explains it all...The IT layoffs are not related or have anything to do with the 8% growth that Fossil had posted for the 2014 year. IT layoffs are directly connected to Ed Robben and Robert Shaffer, both of these gentlemen came from JC Penny's and outsourced the IT department there, in fact using the same company, InfoSys.
Who are the other people from that migrated from JCP to Fossil?
Does it make it right! Huge H1B Visa problem in the US. Infosys paided $34 million finefor allegedly bringing Indian employees into the U.S. illegally in 2014. Explain that... Why is there so many visa granted to India as compared to other countries...
It's not like these people have better education or skills...Bottomline, big corporation is trafficking cheap labor to avoid paying tax and retirement to full time people. Isn't that what we are really fighting against!!!!
Pepsi, DR pepper and Coca Cola has outsources their IT too, they didn't go down, they are doing good. The truth is, things will go on whether we are there or not, we are fools to think that the companies are running because of us. Every single person is replaceable period.
No offence, but if outsourcing was going to happen, id think theyd do customer care first rather than specialized services such as IT. Sucks regardless.
Fossil stock price is dropping! Company like these usually have a lot of problems and struggles internally until these people are gone...
Companies never learn. Seen this all the time... The same group will migrate to another company and infest the next company with Infosys as well...
