Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

I've worked for QC longer than most. It's sad to read your negative posts.

Company started going downhill in 2009. Sad to see especially for long timers who knew what it once was.

Make no mistake, the negative comments are because the management in this company cared about themselves first, the company second. The company is not the company it was. Greed, politics, promoting people to managers who don't know how to manage sunk this company. Jim Thompson has been asleep at the wheel and let the monkeys run amok. Schedules got tighter and tighter and the competitiveness to stroke your way to the top got so intense that to move up you had to hide the ball when there was a problem. Low review ratings wasn't because you sucked, it was because you didn't kiss enough ass. No company can survive that for too long. The culture of hiding the ball went all the way to the top to hiding the inefficiencies to the stock holders. When they started asking questions, the house of cards came tumbling down. The execs will float safely to the bottom with their golden parachutes while they are giving everyone else a golden shower.

I agree what should we not be angry ...who hurt the company ????? It was sure not the worker bees !!!!

How can any sane person not see how people are angry over the management of this company and how they have destroyed what it was .

When they finish with it there will be nothing left but their fat wallets

Yes, if you have been at QC for as long as you say you've been here, AND, if you have received and cashed in stock options for the majority of time you've been here, then you will probably not be hurting like many of the individuals who will be losing their jobs soon. So its understandable that you possess no ill feeling toward upper management, the current management that drove down the company, but still accepted ~ $118 M bonus between themselves. THIS is what's sad!
