Schlumberger Organizational Announcement - Zaleshepifu by Paal Kibsgaard

Zaleshepifu is now appointed global employee relations Vice President and reports directly to me. This will allow us to align employee reductions directly with our corporate strategy and ensure we maximize our profit levels and deliver the highest possible returns to our shareholders. It also aligns the company and HR employee reduction function with our global transformation strategy and ensures we will deliver on the KPIs established for employee reductions and productivity.

Zaleshepifu has an exemplary record in employee reduction and productivity increases wherever he has been employed but particular recognition must go out to the transformation programs he lead in Baku and Libya. Zaleshepifu will report directly to me in this new position.

hahaha a good ol trainee just ripe for the big blue indoctrination. Leave your values at home because within a few years once you get to be a manager you will cutting and firing like every other one. Your bonus and job will depend on it my friend and it will come with a sense of achievement and perhaps even pride.

I am a trainee field engineer and I am thinking hard about whether this is the type of company I want to work for if this type of people are the ones who become managers and VPs.

Maybe in the Middle East people value this style of leadership but it goes against everything I have been brought up to believe in.

They didn't tell us this in recruitment!

I was in Egypt at the time but the story was that, during his tutelage, he cut so deep in Libya that he extended the western branch of Rift Valley all the way to Benghazi. This appointment is definitely not a good sign.

Brutal guy and should never be working in a people function - how can KIbsgaard say SLB is a people company with this axeman in charge of employee relations. Truly shocking and a bad day for SLB employees. I fear for their jobs

Yes Azeri but he cut a huge swath through Libya when he was posted there. Even so, the Libyans almost worship him. He was the affectionately known as the Colonel Kurtz of North Africa. I see this as bad judgment. Kibsgaard has put himself at risk.

Is he an Azeri? Another bloody sucking parasite who will appoint his Azeri for bribes and enhance the SLB bribery network. They bribe this how they all get jobs. The indians at least studied at some indian colleges. These Azeris simply buy diplomas and positions.
