You might have a very good case to negotiate a good package or take other legal/administrative actions if you are getting laid off while retailing H1b for doing same job.

That is not going to do any good. Collect that info and send it to your senator - ask that fvcker to fight for what you think is just.
You might have open a can of worms. This is definitely an interesting angle. Technically, they would have to get rid of people in the order of contractors, H1B, and citizens/residents.
