FYI Brown Mackie is NOT a CECO school, it is and has been a EDMC school. If you're going to post on this, at least be accurate with schools to be somewhat helpful, or else what's the point?

Keep in mind, CECO is already known for fraud with their Gibbs College, Brown-Mackie, and other brands.

Looks like he's getting the band back together. Ed West leaving? Yeah sounds like it. Same dance they did at Apollo Group.

It's not surprise that for-profits are all about profit. What is a surprise is hiring a know failure who turns everything he touches into garbage stock. You would think they would still want a cash cow to keep going. Maybe they see the handwriting on the wall and this is their secret plan to cash out and then blame the CEO. Its a plausible idea. Hollywood dose this with movies they know will fail. They dig up retired directors, pay them a couple of million to put their name on it so when it goes down no one who really worked on it is to blame, and since these guys are mostly retired, a couple of million is worth the reputation hit.

Yep his incompetence and their greed will bring them down too. He will walk away with millions in a golden parachute just like Carly Fiorina did with HP. Then turn around and clam how awesome he was. I guess that is the price we have to pay for all the for-profits to go by by.

Be positive about this, he's the kiss of death. The retreading of this incompetent over and over again speakes volumes.

It's situations like this that give all for profit a bad name. This guy is about the shadiest person in for profit education. The fact that another company would even consider hiring him, shows to what depths for profit has sunk. Unfortunately, this proves that for profit has nothing to do with the student succeeding, but is 100% about profit by any means.

For-Profit industry is very incestuous. They would rather hire the drunken wife beater they know over the new guy dressed up for an interview. On the other hand, no real school would hire these executives, so its a win win for both the beater and the one taking the beating.

Well, there goes another for-profit chain down the drain. Maybe that is a good thing. This guy ls like the Carly Florina of education. Despite numerous failures on a grand scale, the next company is all too willing to pay a million dollar signing bonus. This is the result of corporate American folks. They dont do this kind of stupid shit in other first world countries. Maybe that is really the discussion that needs to take place in America. No one likes Congress, but corporate American culture is even more corrupt. In the US a company would rather pay someone millions of dollars then just simply admit wrong doing. In Japan, the CEO would apologize to the family, and step down, be humble, maybe even take his own life for embarrassing the company ...with very little money paid out. Here its just deny, deny, deny. How much money will it take for you to go away so we can pretend it never happened. That is some sick thinking right there.

Todd Nelson received a million dollar signing bonus to be CEO at CEC + salary + bonus... What a slap in the face for all of those screwed by his greed. I'm disgusted.

He not only f* up EDMC, he helped destroy University of Phoenix. If there were justice, he would be in federal prison (doing 20 years) and on American Greed by now................ https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/homes-infamous-college-profiteers-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card

I'm so disgusted and discouraged by this news. Todd Nelson should be in jail - NOT a CEO of another for-profit education business.
