Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Too bad Follett didn't bring over PRISM in the process

It seemed antiquated, but it was one program that did everything. You didn't have to log into 25 different programs in order to do 100 different things. It was so easy. One log in, one password...don't know what you got till it's gone...

Prism is one program with the same look and feel and functionality across all operations. It is not just a log in script.

PRISM is a clandestine surveillance program.

Speaking of services, anyone got news on the upcoming CourseTracks upgrades?

That's a pretty simple script. If you're behind the firewall and you've logged in, a script could be written to autolog you into every service you have permission to access. It's secure, too. Generally it's linked to AD permissions. If a person is separated, their AD permissions are revoked so no threat. But that is 2007 technology. Follett will get that in 2025 or so.
