So the latest info on Gorgon is first gas will be pushed back in 2016 mid or late year. What do you call that? Execution at its best? Just got off the phone with some of my mates in ABU. Not formally announced yet but it will be soon. Keep an eye on the news and hear the stock dropping like a rock to probably $60's

That's what you get with this lack of urgency, No one seems to have that pep in their step. We have to use positive reinforcement on employees now, WTF? No more good old fashioned ass chewing sessions, HR will be on you quick. We need the that old work ethic brought back from the oil industry that paved the way to where we are now, not this pussified, "oh don't hurt my feelings" culture that we have to put up with today.
I wonder what the PM will be promoted to after Gorgon eventually starts up?
Don't fear, Chevron folks! ExxonMobil are loading Gorgon with Start-up specialists from their ahead of schedule, under- budget Papua New Guinea LNG project. Too bad XOM wasn't partners in Angola...
And yet I work with employees who never read anything about the company except that which is published internally. They have no idea what the outside markets for saying about this. They just go on drinking the Kool-Aid and when you bring this up to themthey are incredulous. This can't be true. I've never met a more disconnected bunch of apathetic employees.

Chevron execs made an announcement on July 31 in the 2Q 2015 that Gorgon will come online in early 2016. My impression was they meant end of 1Q 2016. Are you, AnonymousJim (the original poster) telling us that you just heard fresh news? If first gas is being delaying another 3 or 6 months beyond the end the first quarter 2016, I agree the news will be devastating to the already low stock price. Please clarify what you heard from your co-workers in Australia BU.
If it really is mid to late 2016 we are not only up the creek but into the aquifer supplying the water. People, we are in deep shit. 3 billion per month to fund these LNG projects. If we have to supply that for another year that's our whole exploration budget. We are going to be in so much debt the company will be crippled for decades.
