Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Does Ryan regret "telling" Saudi that we don't need them as we have more opportunities than we can possibly develop?

Did yhe Saudis ever sit down with Ryan for him to tell them that?

I would never think they need anything from conoco. They have the $ to fund projects and to buy any technology they need.

Since oil accounts for over 90% of budget revenue, it is not painless. It is just the lesser of two evils.

"Countries with rich oil reserves like Saudi Arabia and most Gulf states can tolerate the lower prices quite easily. Saudi Arabia alone has $900 billion in reserves and its own oil costs very little, $5-$6 per barrel, to get out of the ground."

We are so glad you are gone. We are almost a complete team now with the pick of the litter. It would never have worked out.
