Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

Instructor thinks he's not a crook

Priceless... One of the stooges on the stock board claims he's a hardworking professional. Every instructor I had was a total social reject and was working at ITT part time while they made 3 times as much delivering pizzas during the day.

What was funny is that he was trying to blame me on the individual level like it was just me out of the hundreds of thousands of people who saw their lives ruined by going to ITT Tech. I had almost perfect grades, I have had to chase down many certifications on my own since then out of my own pocket which all employers want to see and nobody will hire without them. Out of a $100,000 program it would have cost ITT maybe $5000 to actually get the top level certifications and have much more employable students (assuming any could pass the exams). It is just one of dozens of areas that ITT cut corners that ended up making the graduates unemployable and I among many others told them so.

It always takes functionaries to make the deception work. But what is quite astounding is for how little lucre they will try to legitimize the farce to the unsuspecting. The argument that all students are venal or not doing their so-called due dilligence is bogus. Back in the day, there was always someone in academia to advocate for good students without fear of losing employment. The for profit scheme truly operates as a dystropic culture that benefits no one at an extremely high price.
