Does anyone have firm numbers? I have a friend who was laid off and it was well over 1000 people gone.
I have not heard from family employed by UofP yet.
News stations/print media in Phx doesn't seem to have the story, yet I know it happened.
Can't recover from an $80 Million dollar loss? They have over a billion in reserve. They could take a $100 Million loss per quarter for the next two years and still have plenty of money. Financially UOPX is fine, they are bleeding students and enrollments like crazy. Long term, it looks really bad. They have enough money to muddle through the next 5 years just fine.
Boss just pulled the report, losses of over $80mil so far this year, most likely shutting down the school, can't recover from that
Just got got home, still have my job, a coworker texted me and said some older lady had a heart attack while being escorted out, this is just cruel and unusual

@111424 Hey, violence isn't the answer. Those are people's husbands, wives , sons, daughters, riots, assaults and killings won't improve the situation. I heard on the news that Apollo Group is making a public announcement that they're shutting down the school. It's bad enough. I hope people leave in peace, for gods sake people don't fight cops and hurt your friends, just stupid!

Anonymous111389 why, the corporate bigwigs that ran this place and all the other schools to the dirt are hoping for that.. They want a nice quiet little shutting down while they go fly to the bahamas and sit on the beach drinking in the sun. Making a loud national example is about the only thing that really does hurt them in the long term.

Just was notified ADG received their email 30 minutes ago. No update on enrollment reps in building 4.
Stacks of HR paperwork and big stacks of boxes just went into a conference room. Reps are up soon!
