Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Enjoy filling out your IDP, we all know how much they count. If Fossil wants to save $$ cut some of that overloaded HR staff.

The Human Resources budget will remain high – even if there's little accountability to the budget – for one reason. HR is not there to protect you. HR is there to protect the Company.

And the IDP is a clever psychological play to dangle a carrot in front of a treadmill. Promotions only happen under management who care for their own. Not from someone's clever plan for personal growth that was exquisitely laid out within an IDP.

HR= Be pretty and flirt with upper mgmt. and your job is done. IDP & Mid Years is nothing more than HR creating busy work that gets in the way of getting your real job done. The amount of overlapping jobs they have is ridiculous. Fossil want us to make money and streamline processes yet they give us "busy work" like this that only slows us down.

These days IDP seems to stand for "I Don't Participate."

HR tends to have multiple areas of overlapping and could certainly be cut in half or outsourced!! Obviously getting into HR doesn't require much effort other than being a A$$ Kisser! They tend to come up with all sorts stipulations and other nonsense like IDP's and mid year reviews.

Before I knew if my position was retained my IDP basically outlined my goal of staying employed.
