Having been part of that LR a year ago and seen the previous three years go through LR's I was prepared. I knew the more the years ticked on the more the odds were stacked against me. If you see year after year layoffs, are not preparing yourself by updating your resume, getting your network together, making sure LinkedIn is fresh, then you are not being proactive. I can also tell you that the Cisco of 10 years ago is not the Cisco of today. Being part of Cisco for so many years you are missing out on other fantastic companies in the valley that rock. I have seen many of them treat their employees extremely well with perks and an atmosphere of openness and excitement that anyone would truly love. LR is an opportunity for you to free yourself to be happier and more successful, take advantage of it.

Meanwhile Teflon Chambers gets a several million dollar going away party at the expense of shareholders, all this time while getting employees making much less than he does "LR"d year after year, now that's what I call "TITANIC STYLE LEADERSHIP". His performance rating in reality is "NEEDS MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT".
