Thread regarding Kraft Foods Inc. layoffs

what's up in dover kraft

I've been a Labor Union Local President for 15 years before going to work at Kraft Dover. At the time of the time of the "merger" ( read that to mean "sale") and in the weeks since, I've been trying to find out what type of sale happened. Was it an asset only or did Heinz buy the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. No hourly workers have been affected as yet and only a dozen salaried jobs have been eliminated. I've been looking in the news for this because the asset sale would affect all the conditions of work under the CBA. I've read the horror stories about Heinz and 3G doing away with benefits and hourly workers at will and wondering if this is in the Dover Plants future.
