Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

WARN Act - is it applicable?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worker_Adjustment_and_Retraining_Notification_Act

Some people are starting to ask questions about this, but management has been reluctant and vague about it. Does anyone have any insight into whether this holds any bearing for victims of the ROM?

They are giving you 60 days pay after notification. Does that not cover the WARN act? I doubt legal was sleeping through the decision to layoff.

950? We wish, at our company they are talking 25%-40% reduction in employees. 4000-8000 cuts. We stupidly split off our refining and chemicals. Can anyone guess what company I work for?
