Wow! Walgreens was America's company. What happened to them? I've always considered Walgreens looking from the outside as a place to work for; with pride. From the cycles of layoffs and comments in this site, they seem to be a terrible organization to work for. And the bad reputation of Walgreens as an employer seem to continue to grow - besides reading comments online, I've also heard this from a couple recruiters. Good luck to everyone being let go.

Walgreens started changing for the worst ever since wASSon took over. There were only positive comments from employees before that happened.
I wouldn't pay attention to what recruiters are saying, they're salespeople. Anyway does it matter? I'd stay away from Walgreens. Who wants to work in an environment where an employee is unsure. That's Un-healthy living.
Greg Wasson was the downfall of walgreens.
Tissue box is the new Grim Reaper. Those who were let go this week got called into a meeting room (1-F in Bannockburn), and first thing they saw was a box of tissues in the middle of the table. For those of us who kept our jobs (for the moment), today was like, "Did you get the tissue box? No, I survived this round." No telling when the next round will be.
What was the recruiter saying??
