Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

U.S. oil futures fell below $40 a barrel for the first time since 2009 on Friday, Aug 21.

Here is where things will begin to get worse for Chevron. Cash flow is drying up ever faster.

I won't be surprised if we see CVX $65 this year. God knows.

CVX closed at $75.76 on Friday, down 4.39%... one of the most terrible days in recent history. No insiders have bought CVX in the last week. For those who wonder what this means... Things are going SOUTH. If you are thinking of how much more this thing can go down the drain, my best estimate (at this point in time) is $72.00. That's the next bottom for CVX.

Q3 will be brutal without the asset sale gain and even lower realized price per barrel. Production will also likely be lower. It will be bad bad bad. There will need to be another debt issuance soon because we'll blow through the first $8B in less than half the time we planned to.

Big Oil at new lows. No insiders have bought either CVX or XOM in the last week, but these filings are delayed 48 hours. Why hasn't any insider picked up the cheap stock? Is it perhaps because they know it's going lower? Hint: Waiting until 3Q earnings announcement.

CVX stock being dumped, price dives deep while trading volume skyrocketing. Scary! Who can tell where it could take a short rest?
