Does anybody know about laying off in USA? I feel the heat everyday.

No have not fired all the key guys from miswaco. Some racists stil remain in the top management positions.
They fired all the key guys in miswaco simply because they had higher salaries than SLB management and now they have a company they don't understand how to manage. Total idiots and they call it transformation but ask the miswaco clients what they think about that.

I totally agree the management style is horrible and dictatorial which I and others found unbearable and very restrictive in terms of freedom to do things.
I have since left and now back working enjoying life and my new role in another company with a much more open and empowering management style
It's not only smith bits that was destroyed the whole smith acquisition is turning into a total disaster for them and their clients
I would not recommend anybody take a career with them.
Scumburger is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for, their draconian management style, flip flopping policy to suit their needs. I have seen them singlehandedly ruin a once great company (smith bits). I've been gone for a while now and don't miss that place one bit. I feel sorry for anyone still working at that place, good luck guys and gals, hang in there.
