Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

This is my luck

What stings more than anything is Chevron made us believe it was forever money. The old timers said it is not forever money, but do they know, right....... my supervisor said this will last 15 years. What stings even more as technologies advance folks without advanced degrees(PE's type jobs) will be gone. Hindsight, I should have saved and saved and saved. Instead I feel like a pro athlete feeling like what the hell happened. I bought a decent house in a new city, became a father and now the rug is pulled out.

Nancy...you are too fat to strip anymore or give $5 blow jobs. I heard Family Dollar is hiring.

To — Anonymous140642: your use of the terms 'sorry asses', 'the way life is', 'whiney' and 'grow up' in nearly every post is tiresome. We're trying to have a pity party here and yer spoilin' the mood, Dude! Time for you to either learn another song or go away and leave us to suffer in peace. I'm SO glad that you got it all figured out!

Grow up and quit being a whiney ass girl. This is the way life is. Quit feeling sorry for yourself. Come up with a game plan to save your sorry ass from bankruptcy. You have a family to support.

A lot of people pick up advanced degrees in mid-career

That sucks. Best of luck adjusting to the new reality. It's easy to second-guess past decisions, but now all you can do is learn from it and adjust.
