AMBU is the newest and smallest business unit we have. Why do I see so many post about them on here. Get over yourself AMBU. I will be glade when it's and NOJV and I don't have to hear any of you B!t(# anymore.

140731 The reason you see so much about AMBU on here is because this little BU is losing money all over the place! It was a terrible decision to buy this play.
I was in AMBU for the audit. It's legacy Chevron people that screwed that place. Atlas drilled more wells in a year than after. Chevron was actually a safer producer imo. This is from interviews with contractors. And the poster is right. The PA bubbas have been doing this when u were pissing in your diaper and make at least 50% more than average Chevron position. This should be a Havard business review case study on how bad you can ruin a very easy process of shale gas production.
The bubba's get paid more than Chevron offers. The i ndepenents paid much better. I left after the 1st year when the D&C manager Hesse Morris knew as much about the field as a Footlocker shoe sales person. Chevron destroyed Atlas. Atlas had dead weight lIke any other company but nothing like Chevron. I was just at the Marcellus shale coalition producers meeting. Chevron is dead last. Everyone laughs. They are the joke of the basin.

Anonymous140809 You are totally nailed it. Atlas was making money and attracted Chevron. When Chevron came aboard, they slowed up everything with their processes and egotistical leadership that would not listen to the people who worked in this play for years. It took them 4 years to realize that this is an unconventional play. Now that AMBU is destroyed, another company will buy it and everyone will lose their jobs. Some people I feel for and others its well deserving.
It's not just bubbas. Chevron is a mix of atlas (people who used to get things done who then had to accommodate to the chevron way of not getting things done) and chevron (people who came here and took a chance who now have nowhere to go). Everyone is frustrated and nervous. It's understandable.
It goes something like this - chevron hires some bubbas out of the Pennsylvania woods, bubba now has high paying job, bubba goes out buys new ford raptor, adds on $20k in mods. Industry goes south, bubbas lose jobs and can't make the raptor payments anymore. Bubba's take it to this message board.
