Just heard one dude being interviewed by his boss on mobility preferences, skillsets, retirement preferences, etc. Didn't hear much more than that since hard to hear. This dude is experienced (old) and "specialized".

A lot of managers are reviewing their direct reports' IDPs. Could be something as simple as that...don't panic just yet.
ORIGINAL HEADING: "Heard through the walls that they are interviewing within L48 on re-positioning some folks." Not kidding about that "heard through the walls!"
Well, apparently this is at least one case where it IS happening. Who is going to tell a colleague that they had this type of conversation anyway for you to catch wind of it?
And now for some good news. Unfortunate the same conversation does not occur prior to mass layoffs to better understand good fits and bad fits within the organization.
