With ubiquitous Internet acesss trough 4G services and incredible powerful laptops, what else does an executive needs to work non-stop during that business trip? Those airport waits can be used for catching up on email, those long flights in business class can be spend polishing those marvelous slides that will open the door to those emerging markets. The limo ride is still there regardless of private or commercial flight. Why waste?

BTW, Q has had jets since at least 2005. I remember folks using jets out of the Carlsbad airport to frequently visit and supervise the Mirasol acquisition.
It is just now that the news had such an inopportune public view.
You need to be there in person for a negotiation of any kind. In some cases, it's a legal requirement.
I love it. A new ad campaign, just for our executives. Here it comes:... #WhyWaste
It's a status symbol, my jet is bigger than yours thing. All the others are pure BS, only few people truly NEED one.
It is the opitomy of #whywait.
The private jets have advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that you can fly in and out of small airports with minimal security checks and minimal delay. The disadvantage is that first class and and oft business class are more comfortable. Even a single-hop flight talks less time when you factor in the time saved at the airport and the time saved being able to leave whenever the meeting is complete.
Why do you need to travel in luxury for a face to face business meeting? that's the point.
Nothing beats a face to face meeting, a handshake and a warm smile
