It looks like the now that the layoffs have completed, the majority of the Q people that use to come here have moved on, whether they were affected or not. That's good. Life goes on.. For the small percentage of people that still harp at the injustices of this world related to this layoff, or engineer's compensation while at the Q, income inequality, affordability of housing, etc...Well, get help.... Life goes on, with or without you.

Those 100+ are in for a lot of pain, and they have absolutely no idea about it :-) Innocence is a bliss.

Does anyone know if the new hires are in San Diego or are they perhaps in QIPL? If they're in QIPL, it is to be expected. Steve confirmed that they're going to be shifting labor to low(er) cost regions of the world.
It's to churn out old expensive employees with younger and cheaper employees.

Yep, Qualcomm hiring has picked up again. Over 100 scheduled for new employee orientation on Monday.
It'll heat up again and often. The check is in the mail. The company is being bled-out by executives and activist shareholders. The first cut is not the deepest.
