My store laid off 5 people. Our region has opened store after store that have been deemed unprofitable. These people were let go with no warning. And then today, buyers, supervisors, and associate store team leaders all have to reapply for their jobs or take a severance and are not guaranteed anything if they decide to step down and stay with the company. "We support team member excellence and happiness" is a core value. What a joke. You must work in regional as you are still guaranteed a job and layoffs will never have an effect on you.

South Region, no one in regional has been affected. So far anyways.
SW will probably be the last to be affected since it's the company's pride and joy.

@Anon... actually in the NA region there has been no regional layoffs. FACT
Regional offices are not taking big hits. There has been no talk of suspending bonus pay, raises nor any perks that you get at high ranking position. Say what you would like say about regional position struggles and losses.
Margin targets should have been lowered 2 years ago. We would have stayed ahead of the competition and our customer base would not have started ahopping at their stores. Way to do the ball.
Regional getting hit too...trust me.
@NA Region Yes, in our South Region, all buyers, supervisors, and ASTLs are affected. They are trying to only have 1 ASTL per store as some have more than 1. Marketing TL's have to reapply and will be responsible for more than 1 store.
In the north Atlantic the layoffs just affected pbs, ise, bulk and frozen buyers. Did they really make ASTLS reapply?
Just wait til we "vote" for benefits again. TMS will need a second job to afford health care. If you cut off one of my arms but I can choose which one is not much of a choice
