Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Not directly affected

I was not directly affected by this because I have only been with the company for roughly 2 years, and am still a normal team member. However, this did affect me in the sense that it completely diminished any interest I had in working hard to move up in the company, knowing that all my hard work could have been for nothing in a matter of days. I have a feeling I am not the only person in my position that feels this way, and have a feeling that this move will affect the overall customer experience more than they are anticipating. For me personally when I started working at Whole Foods I had planned on being with the company for the long run, but as of a few days ago, I recently started exploring other employment opportunities for the first time since starting at the company. It's a shame to see so many good people go and I wish them well.

WOW! Seriously? Whole foods started going downhill when they started taking away all choices from the teams running their own businesses and getting with the regional or national program. It's been so long since anyone at the regional or corporate level has worked at the team level that they have no clue how their decisions affect the store level. This makes me very sad. Good luck everyone
