Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Falling off the Forbe's 100 Best Companies to work for list.

Does this mean we can all stop pretending we haven't heard the rumors that Whole Foods WILL NOT be on the list for the first time next year? SHOCK SHOCK!

I agree. They spent years shoving core values down our throats, dragging us out to store meetings on days off to tote about how great we are a company...making us watch stupid commercials. Falsely telling team members we are financially healthy...our CEO writing a book called "conscious capitalism".

Leadership mistakes haves for the past 10 years have led to this.

The "We're still better than Shithole Inc." argument doesn't work, especially in light of the hypocrisy of Whole Foods saying, "We're different, we're better, we hold ourselves and each other to another, higher standard." Obviously, that wasn't true.

OK guys, you really need to see how it is to work for other companies. Aside from a handful of outfits flush with cash (Apples and Googles of the world), it's hell out there - a dog eats dog paradigm in every sense. This hurts, it hurts a lot as we lost our innocence today (or Friday), but in the grand schema of things we are still so much better than your average ACME Inc.
