Anyone hear about this? TL will no longer make the schedule and you will be at the mercy of a computer.

Yes, we already are using this in the NE. It doesn't same you time cause it doesn't factor in a lot of information, so you end up redoing the schedule. Yet another waste of time.
Hate Kronos. It's not a time saver. But we'll be forced to continue using it because they've invested money in it. It generates a schedule, and you now spend all your time correcting it.
The kronos scheduling tool is horrible we've had for a few months. Get ready for everyone to be overworked and understaffed.
Honestly it's got to be better than the schedules being written by my TL
"That makes a little more sense. But I think a TL should already have a good grasp on business and not need 8hrs to do so"
You'd think so, but you give too much credit to many of the TLs. The other half of the issue with WFM is incompetent team leadership.
My blood boils just thinking about it.
Yes! It (the scheduler program) has a brilliant brain, but no heart.
That makes a little more sense. But I think a TL should already have a good grasp on business and not need 8hrs to do so.
This is true, but it's not nearly as dramatic as you're making it: the auto scheduler tells you, based on sales, how many people minimum to open, mid-shift, and close based on the size of your team. Team Leader or ATL still has to decide which TMs fill those shifts, but it takes the guess work out of how exactly to schedule. Has saved the customer service team at my store hours of office time due to not having to make schedule from scratch.
A few of the teams at my store have already been using this

F this - seriously?
