Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Yes they say this is all about restructuring and they give the team members choices but most of the team members won't have a job there for them, they essentially are firing or asking you to leave. Not to mention those leaving are many talented individuals with the most sensitive information about the company like sales, labor, strategies, which will in turn they will take back to competitors and give them a heads up to increase their sales. Along with all the recent bad decisions made that caused stocks to fall drastically this is a bad blow to the companies one thing they offered customers, happy team members that give the best customer service. This decision is going to negatively affect any future that Whole Foods has. There is not one person, who received this news, in the stores than can be happy and focus on their job or even the customer. This is negative affect that will change Whole Foods forever. Mackey what you started is gone. I love my job, I really do but watching team members I worked with for decades be told that they do not have a position anymore and if they can be afforded they must take a pay cut, hurts me just as bad. I hate what they have done to this company. And they will too.
