Whole Foods promise of job opportunities for the people laid off is a pretty lean offer. Whole Foods only hires part-time unless it is a managerial position. This equates to a current team member working full time can APPLY (you do not get a job because you were laid off, you have to apply like anyone else, even if it is an outside applicant). If hired, you are offered part-time, you will have to pay for your benefits AND your pay is cut in half. I know this for a fact as I went through one of their layoffs a few years ago. Whole Foods became arrogant and greedy and it's the team members at store level paying the price. Btw, Whole Foods prides itself as the only CERTIFIED organic grocery store. I know first hand that MANY times what you think is organic produce is conventional because the integrity of the product is compromised.
This is the most incomprehensible piece of garbage I have read yet! It seems lots of those affected by these layoffs are not very literate (or even intelligible)!
It's one weeks pay for every one thousand hours not two.
