Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

I work for whole foods. Some of my friends that have worked for the company for over 10 years have been fired. Many of them have to fight for positions against their friends. We are like family. Many people have left so another may keep their position. Now there are regular tm that suck making more than sups and buyers. People at my store are afraid to talk. Some are drinking the Mac Attack Kool-aid BS. He came to our store with Omar and the rest of them not long ago. He never introduced himself, he did not ask my name or my co-worker, he didn't ask what our positions were, just how much does the damn juice bar make in $$$$. There was an anti-union training for TLs prior to this. It is shady. It is so sad. I use to love to go to work and now i dread it. I dodged the bullet because a few weeks ago I too was a sup and was offered a tm position that HAD better possibility of moving toward ATL, so I stepped down on my own accord to pursue it, but sadly will have seek new employment eventually if I want to make more the $13/hr. Let the whole foods hunger games begin.....9 people going for 4 spots in one department.
