It's a publicly traded company. Its corporate America at the micro level. If you didn't know this was always possible, you have been lying to yourself. Every industry faces layoffs. Fortunate the swell lasted as long as it did.

Of course I knew this was always possible --what I think gets me most is the bullshit kool aid they slung to TMs all those yrs instead of,Oh, I don't know...keep pace technologically with the competition??? anyone of us who worked the back room had to be thinking "how the hell does this company make money??" so beyond inefficient
of course KROGER is dusting them---It's like WFM ran it like it was 1980 until just three yrs ago... ordering not even linked up with the front end? in 2015? are you kidding me? F***ing Windows 95 over here...
they claim they're playing catch up, but THIS MOVE tells us that even THEY know it's too little, too late...
I have always been realistic about this. Just caught off guard is what stirred emotions. It is just a grocery store. Always has been.
