Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Claremore OK esp plant is so fat, it's ridiculous.

They are bumping into each other walking the halls. All the youngsters they hired the past 7 years seem to think they have a job for life. They are doing their best to fake out corporate that their research projects are valid.

It's because not much is made there in Claremnore anymore except for cable which is another plant.

The autowind machines that you talk about are old hat ODI machines from an acquisition 15 years ago.

Centrilift has the wool pulled over your eyes if you think it's efficient.

I buy Centrilift pumps. Millions of dollars worth. They have surpassed Schlumberger in terms of technology. We need their technology. My guess is they have the lowest cost of production due to the automated winding machine unless you buy Chinese. Centrilift is the top manufacturer at the moment. I hope we don't lose that. I was there last year. It appeared to be a very efficient operation. I don't know why you have a bug up your arse about Claremore but if Halliburton screws that up, my company is in trouble.

We have made significant reductions in the last year to remain competitive. Our engineering group and their project's have been limited to sustaining activity vs new product development. For what it's worth.
