It's not that they're roundly disliked. The poor decisions the make in their personal lives bleed into their so called professional lives and are so glaringly egregious, it makes any reasonable person seriously question their judgement. Mark and Nona are demonstrated failures as leaders. They are out of their depth and unfit for their positions. They are simply and justifiably not respected.
It's a pyramid scheme, has been for a while.
I mean even the big, big, big guys wouldn't buy this company. What do you think is next????

Or that the company just in September got shareholders to allow the execs to double the amount of shares available so they could ramp up their option grants to themselves...and despite the efforts of one wealthy activist, they can now vest their options and sell their free shares even faster... This proposal HURTS the shareholders which is ironic because shareholders approved it. I predict more cutbacks and firings and evenutally closure of underperforming stores in a desperate effort to put lipstick on this pig and sell it. The problem is a rubber-stamp board of directors and an executive team that is highly resistant to any checks on their power. I don't think it's a mater of liking Nona. It's more of the fact that people like Nona in leadership is typical And is easy to see why the company is. Going in the gutter.
