They talk about change, efficiency being agile, and work.different but when it comes down to it, they are too afraid to actually make the changes and be the first one to step up. I am so tired of the talk, let's do something and move forward. I feel still stuck! I just want to know what to do and what to expect. My teams have brought up great suggestions for new ideas for improvements, changes to our hours to be flexible for our families, ways we can improve and streamline our internal/external partners business and communication. We keep getting shot down and told maybe someday and have to bury our head down with the crappy systems that keep going down every week and have not made any real changes since March. The Managers do not want to make any waves or stand out at this point. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Any suggestions on what to do or know of areas that need a good solid employee who wants to help build Follett back up?

Hassle free shopping.
Changing hours to make the store more accessible to families! Wasn't that the very reason Follett chopped 10% of its workforce? They needed to be more flexible to be there for the customer when the customer wanted to be there. Instead they've hired layer upon layer of high priced retail executives who's only qualification is guiding retail empires into irrelevance. Keep thinking, planning, evaluating what will work better. Then find an employer who will cherish ideas and initiative. Follett vaules; nothing.
Someone at HO(JB) was bored with nothing to do, made up the new 'cool' dress code.
They would tell you to look at releases like "hassle-free dress code!" that was essentially an update to to the existing P&P Dress code. It's not change, but they did turn someone loose with adobe premier to make SOP 'fun' again. I'd rather we went back to the Fish method, better to toss frozen fish than this drivel...oh and if you enjoy visible tattoos, Follett hates you!
