Is IT done?

How many people does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

No value in the initiatives if the mode of operations falls back to duck tape and bailing wire. Prior to the split the standard setup for a new employee was a five year old laptop with one 17" display. Not uncommon for a new hire to not return day two after discovering the archaic standards.

So what is the status of the information technology initiatives? The human resources initiatives ceased to exist with the ouster of the HR VP. The current CIO is not of the old school mentality.

It is so funny hearing people dog on IT but if we were so replaceable then why can't you people fix your own computer, network, or application? The great thing is when the company lays you off because oil is hurting you can't find a job anywhere because all you know is oil, I get to walk across the street to any number of companies and get hired again. Not only is my job needed everywhere, I am the best at what I do and couldn't care less where you I do it. Say hate on folks, hate on!
