207 - The biggest reason is past students with worthless degrees and debt that is destroying their lives. Same for all for-profits. Unless bankruptcy is restored and that debt can be wiped, none of these for-profits will survive. UoP has left tens of thousands of people worse off than when they started, only the most greedy con artist would think that should stand as is.

@754--yes, "it" is naive and probably a UOP business graduate. Hahahahahaha. This fake school is toast.

To original poster. You are very naive how market works. Sometimes companies buy back stock when price is threatened to reach a certain value.

152 - Cheaper? Who? Maybe other for profits but not UOP. You're a fool to think UOP is expensive.

Unfortunately, there will be no turnarounds for the phoenix. Too much competition, traditional universities are in the online arena and their prices are much more affordable than the UOP. In addition, the quality of education is much better and the industry is not doing well at all.

@136--Turns back around? Even without any court ordered reimbursements to students, for-profits are going to be very minor players in the education sector. Traditional schools are offering degree programs online at a fraction of the cost to attend UOP and others. Moreover, the quality of instruction is better in a traditional environment. UOP will have fewer than 100K students by the end of 2017. They will eventually be online only too. Your head is misshapen if you believe otherwise, numb nuts.

It's up and that's all that maters 121. Besides, the share price doesn't necessarily depict the entire story. $10 is actually low because investors are scared. Just wait till this boat turns back around and all those non-believers will wish they invested when it was near single digits. Fools!

Yeah, it was soaring, dumbfuck. It will be under $5.00 after FTC penalizes UOP, asshole.
