Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Official last day on Chevron payroll after being layed off 2mo ago

Thank you Chevron for paying me the last 2 months to be a stay at home mom, catch up on my sleep, learn to cook, workout daily, spend so much more time w my family and not have to wake up at 5am anymore.

What else have others been doing that got let go 2 month ago? Don't forget to file for unemployment Monday!

I have been enjoying my paid time off so much, I've decided not to go back to work. Period. Will collect unemployment til it runs out.

So does the company still continues to pay those two months if you were to get a job elsewhere?

My last day at office was just last week, so I'm in payroll till December (as most, if not all, from ROM 2).

I was paid for 2 months to stay at home, get my backyard in shipshape, my home spotless, cook meals, read books, see movies, go to Museums, do long bike rides, go to yoga classes, volunteer at the local school, listen to birds sing, see sunrises, type without WorkPace breaks, sleep soundly without thinking about PMPs, Career Development Plans, Diversity Plans, the Chevron Way, We Lead, Safety Moments, etc. I left with integrity intact and a spine.

Took the free training in project management I received at Chevron and got a better job. I am treated with respect and don't have to listen to OE moments on the dangers of hot coffee and jay walking on an empty side street.

I am in the Houston office and still have to see some dumb girl (not a woman) show up to work dressed as a 12 year old girl. Professional Not!

Searched for another job, found God, lost him again, found a guy named Steve who claimed to be God, and slept. Good times!

Well, When the Petulant Bigoted Childish EMPLOYEE's at CHEVRON quit filing LAWSUITS AGAINST THE COMPANY for frivolous claims involving petty car accidents, Handrail issues, and people actually start working instead of watching the clock, maybe CVX will be able to shake off the fleas, cut the dead wood, and get back to working normally.

Lost ten pounds, brought my blood pressure down significantly, got my career back on track and don't have to listen to the petulant, bigoted children at GOM snivel about holding handrails, backing your car in, clock watching and snitching on each other. Realized it simply wasn't worth the money any more.
