Congrats on the nomination, I am sure you earned it. 144496 clearly is the narcissistic twerp who has heard a word yet truly does not know the definition yet uses it daily to describe anyone they are jealous of. Why would a true narcissist be concerned with a ROM, they would believe they are golden and therefore feel safe. 144496 you prob were the self absorbed holier than thou pos until the grey hair and the belly showed up. Looked in the mirror and realized wow I am still in the mail room wtf. Clearly everyone who is getting opportunities is a narcissist because it's s big word you heard once in a movie that your wife made me watch. The reality is you were only great in your own head. Wtf is up at chevron, every washed up old time disgruntled avg and less than avg pos thinks anyone that is getting a promo or some type of kudos is a narcissist? Maybe just maybe they earned it through hard work. And even if they earned it on a mattress that does not make them a narcissistic twerp just an opportunistic whore. Buy a dictionary or learn to use google or bing you dumb mf'er.

You sound (just judging from your post) like an ideal candidate for promotion, in Chevron! In fact, you sound like EXACTLY the kind of narcissistic little twerp who will "fit right in" with existing management types. "Am I safe?" What kind of MAN asks that? NO, moron! You're NEVER "safe"! And, I'm betting, that if you DO survive another ROM, the sole effect of it will be your ever more disgusting certainty that future survival is directly correlated to "getting along", (and, here, I base my opinion upon the fact that decisions to promote, in Chevron, are typically based on anything BUT competence, positive contribution, work ethic, compassion, or intelligence) and that will, increasingly, become your guiding "principle". Recognition and promotion by a broken organization, by definition, must be "broken".

No! Its business as usual until the ROM comes. Then it's every person for themselves.

You are dealing with 2 different things here. You have been recommended for promotion by your Manager which is a totally separate process and you will know the results in March (although your Manager might know by Nov-Dec but everything is uncertain this year). Congrats by the way for securing that recommendation! And then you have to go through the ROM which is a completely separate process. You will apply for your job like everybody else in your team/unit and will likely compete with others to win it back. But hopefully you have an advantage over others in doing the job. You must be doing good and your Manager(s) are happy with your performance, otherwise you won't be recommended for promotion. So stay positive, focus on writing a good GO-400-2 highlighting your achievements and that's all you can do. Good luck buddy, stay positive.

No. You will have to apply for your job. If your job exists. If you are politically connected you have a much better chance than if your are competent and productive. Friends will take care of friends. You may have 20-30 people apply for your position and friends are going to push for their buddies. You see how corrupt it is now. Put fear and more ignorance in the equation and you have a really bad scenario.
