Poor performance starts with Leadership and procurement forcing us to use the current piss poor service providers were using now.. Bad attitude is our response when their is nothing we can do about it. Meanwhile our issues cannot be raised, or your job is over. Procurement beats their chest how much they saved when in reality they cost us everyday. Then our jobs are subject to the results, while they slither along in smugness.

The one person in GOM through this all that seems to be the most rational is the Godfather, Don Corleone, GC. He has seemed a little more stressed than usual lately because he is one of the few that genuinely cares about people and also has the business sense that many of the others lack. He understands the tough sobering decisions that we need to make to survive. You may not always like his methods or his upfront no bs attitude, but he gets results. He has always led a successful lean organization. Call it @$$ kissing, I call it reality.

Repost fixed - The root cause of the fiasco that is Chevron is the piss poor management. The management has created this Chevron Way, the right way culture, of behavior based (be nice, avoid confrontation or present disagreement the "right way") bullshit. Build a clique of friends John's answer: "No, Darling we will never leave California. Remember our history - Standard Oil of CA.... yadda, yadda, yadda". Yea, yea, there are oil wells in Bakersf-ingfield and they will stay there. Look around the San Ramon campus and you see more truth than all that nice gibberish.
