Well they have to give 2 months my law. For many it won't be that easy to find jobs (technical or highly specialized). 5 months will likely go to those with 15-20 years experience. Generally highly paid older folks who it will difficult to find new jobs.

5 months severance? If that's the case, people will be lining up to be let go. Start a new job next year and still come out ahead.
I have heard this time around there is an equation based on your years of service, pay grade, etc.
Between 3 and 5 months severance (including WARN).
Probably coupons, food stamps, and a bottle of ibuprofen.
