It is important not to get this time around confused with 2013. In 2013 other oil and gas companies would pick you up. This time they are also preparing for layoffs. My advice is to take this long weekend to update your resume and maybe even apply online at some of the good jobs, it won't hurt to beat the crowd. Yes, layoffs will be in the next two weeks. If you work in the larger departments then you should already know that there will be layoffs in them.
