Folks like Bill Patterson didn't just have someone show up in their office and ask them to come to a conference room for an unannouced meeting. How many of us will have the ability to send an email to their subs? For Bill and others, they will get some type of parachute and I'll bet it's more than 60 weeks pay.

No parachutes for Bill. He left with the same severance package as everyone else based on his 30+ years with the company. Only special treatment might have been a more private severance meeting. 3 BU's and 4 VP's, so one had to go.
Upset because he is finally being held accountable for being a worthless manager who blamed fired people to save his own ass for years! Karma is a bitch!
He was upset at the VCIP meeting too. Maybe he does have some small bit of self awareness and actually feels shame and regret at the things he's done?
