Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Dude.. Q has like 30,000 employees. Out of all of those, there are probably 1,000 that are doing good work. Maybe 5,000 that are capable but under-utilized, and the rest are hangers on marketing girls, managers, HR, and 10,000 entry-level engineers that write as much bad code as good code so do nothing more than take oxygen. Out of all those, there are maybe 50 that come here and gripe about Indians and SVPs screwing up their big dream of the house they were gonna buy in La Jolla with the hot Cali surfer chick. Everything said here about Q is the same as every company in the world: struggle to maintain market share, retain IP and royalties stolen by criminal Chinese with their govt. behind them lying while smiling, smelly curry eaters, towel heads, and thick-glasses Chinese girls taking jobs for half pay even though they can't code "herrow world" without bugs (or typing "herrow kitty" first by mistake). Investors wanting to squeeze every penny out of the company's pockets so they can buy up their own competitors and squeeze them dry when they put the first place out of business. Top execs and sales guys having big boozed up hooker bashes every other night and writing "misc" on the expense reports. All companies have these things in common. When Q RIFs you, and you get your next job, your manager there will be exactly the same as your manager at Q: A guy that has been around in the place for a while, and wasn't good enough at engineering so they made him a low level manager since they needed the group babysitter, and the only thing he had to do was not say bad shit about his bosses for enough years and he becomes a SVP.
