Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Peak Whole Foods

Shout out to the only company that would streamline operations and improve central control by enacting radically different policy in each region on completely different timelines. "Whole Foods Market: yeah, we probably could have done it better "

18063: Spot on. These people need 12 different ways to do every last thing, one for each region. Except screwing up....They seemed to have one flawless way of doing that.

I don't think it's deliberate, I just think it's gross incompetence, which is status quo. Either way, it's nice to see the koolaide is wearing off for some. I'd like to see WFM's structure democratized, there are too many pathologies in positions of authority here.

I think they are doing things differently in the regions on purpose. People hear about what's happening elsewhere and get scared/pissed and leave on their own. Less severance/unemployment to pay. Then they can fill positions with PT team members or just get rid of the positions all together. Everything will be the same company wide eventually I'm sure.
