Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

No news on the hub about layoffs

But they are in external news. This is weird way to motivate people - just exaggerating uncertainty.

Well, I read on business insider the following,

"The largest oilfield company in the world will be pursuing its plan of overhead, capacity and employee reduction, according to Mr. Kibsgaard. The deduction in workforce will affect its Houston-based headquarters the most." Headquarters is San Felipe down by the Galleria.

There has been a huge increase in resignations and early retirement in many parts of the company in North America too.

It's the uncertainty that's driving ME crazy. One week I feel half ass safe and the next it's "certain doom".
